AM116 Lge Oriental Pendant

This technique was
heavily borrowed from the Polymer
Clay Central.
I adapted it for the polymer clay I had on hand, being: Sculpey III pearl
blue, green, transluscent, and black.
I didn't follow the instructions exactly as I don't have much in terms of tools.
I flattened the clay with my hands after having conditionned it. I forgot to
stack once *oops* !
So, how I proceeded is that I made the mix of clay, and then shaped into a fat cane
then I sliced pieces, and put them in the mould, slightly overlapping if they weren't
big enough. The cane was large enough for the smaller moulds (AM035 Sm Puffy
Heart
and AM228 Med 6 Petals)
but needed a few slices for the pendant (AM116 Lge Oriental Pendant).
When the "bottom" of the mould was filled to my liking, I used some plain black clay, or
remnants of other colours/projects
to fill the mould. I then put a thin slice of either plain black or of my cane.
This
way you don't waste your good blend and you can stretch it farther!
Be careful what colours you use to fill your mould if you have white or transluscent clay in the big cane, so they don't seep through.

Use thicker slices if you plan on sanding and buffing your piece so as to not erase the design of the cane.
