using
AM003 Med Long Mask
AM023 Med Petroglyph
AM026 Lge Mexican Calendar
AM034 Med Mask
AM118 Lge Deep Camel Box
AMKT2 X4Lge Leaf Texture
Also used Sculpey III (totem, petroglyph, Mexican calendar and palm fronds),
Sculpey Gloss Glaze (palm fronds), Delight Air Dry Modelling Compound (feet),
Lumiere and acrylic paint, fine dry sand and Krafty Lady Zen Garden kit.
To make the totem, I fashioned granite Sculpey into a log shape just slightly
narrower than the masks. I applied the 2 mask castings to the front and 2 to the
back and then blended the edges of the masks into the Sculpey log to hide the
joins. This was a really thick piece and I cured it in the oven for 1½ hrs. To
age the granite, I brushed over it with watered down black acrylic and then
wiped most of it away with a cloth.
The palm fronds were made with the Leaf Texture Sheet. I trimmed away
portions so that I was only left with pieces ressembling fronds. I highlighted
parts of them with acrylic paints, then I used the Sculpey Gloss Glaze to give
them shine.
