Sculpey III Ballerina, and Premo Fuchsia, Violet, and Ultramarine Blue were used
for this project. A cane was created as per the instructions on
Sculpey.com
The tiles were made by adding thin slices of the flower cane to flattened blends
of color and rolling on the pasta machine at a setting of 4. The tiles were
pressed between the back side of a molding mat and the front of another molding
mat to get the texture. The tiles were then cut with a square cutter. The tiles
were baked, then glued to the lunch box and painter’s caulking was used as
grout. A wash of purple paint, then white paint was applied to the lunch box.
The cast were made by blending the clay colors and pressing them into the
moulds, then removing the cast and adding a thin slice of the canes onto the
cast shape, then pressing the shape back into the mould for the final casting.
The tin was then glazed with Future Floor Finish

The tins held tiny playing card and had lots of graphic on the outside. I placed
them on the BBQ at high until all the paint turned black and easily sanded off.
I drilled two holes on each of the top corners and ran a jump ring through them.
I drilled a hole through the bottom of the lid and the bottom of the base and
ran a jump ring through these.
The Krafty Lady Art Mould where cast in Ultra Light Sculpey, painted with black
gesso and patina paints. A hole was drilled at the top and attached to the
necklace with a jump ring. Steel wool was glued to the tin then the goddess doll
was added.
The book fits in the tin, the pages were made by clear embossing a piece of text weight paper with
the open crackle stamp. A mix of water, acrylic gloss medium, Adirondack color
washes, and Pearl Ex was sprayed onto the paper; some of the patina paints were
lightly brushed onto the paper. The clear embossing powered was removed by
ironing it onto another sheet of paper. Three pages were then folded in half and
cut to size. Images were stamped in Adirondack ink, embellishments and
journaling added. The pages were bound together using a pamphlet stitch.
Jump rings are made from anodized steel wire, wrapped around a wood dowel and
cut with a jeweller's saw #2 blade. That's the hard way but makes perfect jump
rings. The other way is to wrap wire around the dowel remove the coil and cut
with flush cutters, the ends will not meet perfectly but it's much easier.
