Cast with Sculpey III (Cinnabar blend from the book by Irene Semanchuk Dean),
aged with black Jo Sonja paint.
I wasn't allowed by my children to alter the lunchbox I received from Kristine
as it was decorate with a favourite cartoon character family of theirs, so I
decorated a different tin, and that one got accepted by a magazine for
publication (more details when we are closer to the date) so I created this
little Asian Tin for your viewing pleasure.

Altered Mint Tin
using
AM043 XLge Asian Symbol No 3
AM309 Lge Face with Turban
Also used a mint tin (Eclipse), black Premo! polymer clay, gold leaf foil, and
some Kato Liquid Medium to ensure good adhesion to the tin.

Sphynx at Sunset
using
AM338 Small Mini Sphinx
This was somewhat inspired by Kim Cavender (though... I have some ground to
cover). A skinner blend of Red Cadmium Hue and Yellow Cadmium Hue Premo clay was
used to cover the tin, and to cast the various shades of Sphynx. |

RP091 XXLge 11 Word Set
Tin was painted with green acrylic paint, then Jo Sonja Crackle Medium, then an
eggshell colour. It was edged with Sepia Archival ink togive it a weathered
look.
The moulds were all cast from a blend of Premo and Sculpey III, cured, and then
rubbed with Treasure Gold. Words were stamped on cork. I painted the inside of
the tins with Gel Medium, then placed my aged photos (aged with Sepia Archival
and Distress Frayed Burlap) carefully on the Gel Medium, patted them down whilst
being careful to not get Gel Medium on the images, then I poured sand in the
tin, closed it, and shook it for the sand to stick to the Gel Medium.
Shells and fossils were placed in position using Helmar's Scrap Dots (thick
glue).
