look in the clay. Beads were hand rolled. and I used 20 g Artistic Wire (Non
Tranish Brass: Gold). I sealed the pieces with Pledge One Go. The larger picture
will reveal a brooch I made to go with the earrings.

Mask. Scrapbook Colors Wheat was used as patina. The box was made with a

Coin cast with Arbee's Air Dry Clay. It was then broken, painted in "distress
fashion" with Jo Sonja Paints (red indian oxyde, and rich gold). The ATC was
covered with a coat of white Gesso, then paint, then the Ginkgo (Beeswax) was
embossed in gold. The ATC was sanded after edging with a gold leafing pen, again
to distress it.

Magenta as "patina", rubbing it off the surface of the cast before it dried.

On this side, the inside of the box was simply painted with one nice coat of
Violet Lumiere. The casts were painted with the Magenta, and they were
highlighted with Jo Sonja Pale cold paint, applied with a fairly dry brush.

Made with Sculpey Super Flex (Bake & Bend). You can see

assembled. I shaped the locks by placing them on a soda pop can to give them a
curve (a Syndee Holt technique).

Casts moulded with Sculpey UltraLight, painted with Acrylic Paints and Treasure
Gold (Classic). The background was done with an Oriental Text Stamp from Beeswax pressed
onto the back of the mould. These are surprisingly light for their size.

orange). A magnet was pressed in the back while the faces were in the moulds so
the magnet lays flat on the surface it is stuck on. |
Olive Green Box

Cast with air dry clay (can't remember the brand) painted with Olive Green then
dry brushed with Silver paint -- both by Jo Sonja. The box is a simple papier
maché box, painted with silver and covered with a wash of Olive Green paint. The
leaf was painted while the box was being painted.

Both these were done with Translucent clay (Pink one with Kato Clay and green
one with Fimo Translucent) with a bit of coloured clay added, Alazirin Crimson
for the pink one and Leaf Green for the faux-jade one.

the back is a section slightly larger than a wooden peg, glued to the peg, then
the Tiki was glued on top. A strong magnet is glued at the back so it is both a
magnet, and a peg for important papers.

Faux Bone Transfer Pendant

This cabochon was moulded from a simple
Faux Bone technique, I let it rest
in the mould for a few minutes prior to unmoulding, then did a colour photocopy
transfer onto the surface, and cured.

Broche / Brooch

Once the cabochon was cured, I put a couple of coats of Kato Clear Medium, then
stamped the face from an Art Neko stamp onto the KCM using StazOn Ink. I then
added a few more coats of Kato Clear Medium, heat setting/curing with a heat gun
between each step. |

A cane was made into a mosaic and pressed in the mould, the excess was carefully
cut off taking care to not cut the mould, and the back of the mould was then
filled with Gold Sculpey III Clay. Bicone beads were created with the same
blend, and a bead roller (Amaco).

Garden (USA). Holes were drilled on the side of the cast after curing, 20g
silver wire was used to cast beads, and make the clasp (which you can see in the
larger picture). This has a stone appearance to it, and I got the idea from
Donna Kato's Tutorials.
